Dear Medical College of Georgia friends,

With America turning 250, this upcoming July 4th feels especially meaningful. Our country’s story is one of perseverance, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

Those same values have also defined MCG for nearly two centuries. From our earliest days training physicians for a young nation to the statewide mission we carry today, we’ve always been committed to improving the health and well‑being of the people we serve.

Your dedication reflects the very ideals we celebrate, and I’m grateful to serve alongside you. I hope each of you finds a moment next week to rest, recharge, and enjoy celebrations with those who matter most.

My best to you all,
